Bot-free by design

Capture the call from your desktop — nothing joins it.

Celeritas listens to your device’s own audio, so there’s nothing to admit to the meeting and no calendar to connect. If you can hear it, Celeritas can transcribe it — Zoom, Meet, Teams, or anything else.

  • Audio captured on your device
  • Every meeting app, zero plugins
  • No calendar or account access

Let’s ship the billing fix before Friday — who can own it?

MK

Maria Kovács00:13

I’ll take the webhook retry logic. It’s the risky part of the flow.

TR

Tom Rees00:30

I’ll add the dashboard plan-state to the same ticket then.

What people say

Fresh from the Product Hunt launch — and more rolling in.

The on-device thing sold me — ran it through a client call and nothing left my laptop. The Jira ticket push from action items is wild, saved me a copy-paste loop I didn’t even realize was annoying me.

Müzeyyen· Product Hunt

The on-device transcription approach is smart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a private, on-device meeting transcription tool?+

Yes. Celeritas is a private, local meeting transcription app for macOS (Windows is coming soon). It records and transcribes Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams calls entirely on your own device using local AI, so no audio is ever uploaded to the cloud.

What is the best local transcription app that works offline?+

Celeritas runs transcription on-device with a Whisper-class model, so it works offline and keeps your meeting data on your machine. Unlike cloud transcription services, it also turns the conversation into ready-to-push tickets for Jira, Linear, and GitHub.

Does anything actually go to the cloud?+

No. Recording, transcription, summaries, and ticket extraction all run on your machine. Aside from signing in to your account, the only network calls go to services you choose — pushing an approved ticket straight to your own Jira, Linear, or GitHub. Your audio and transcripts never leave your disk.

Which platforms do you support?+

Celeritas is a native desktop app for macOS, with Windows coming soon. Everything runs locally on your machine. On Enterprise, you can sync meetings across your Macs and share a team workspace through your own storage (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or a network share) — Celeritas servers never hold your meeting data.

Will it work with my Zoom, Meet, or Teams?+

Yes. Celeritas captures system audio, so it is platform-agnostic. There is no integration to install on the meeting side and nothing for other participants to notice.

What happens to my recordings?+

They live as plain files in a folder you choose. Delete them, back them up, or point Obsidian at them. We never see them, and there is no account that holds them for you.

Can IT approve this for our company?+

That is the point. Celeritas is a desktop app and data never leaves the device, so there is no third-party processor to vet and nothing uploaded to review.

Is it legal to record calls without telling participants?+

Recording consent laws vary by jurisdiction. In two-party consent states and countries like Germany, all participants must be informed. Celeritas makes this easy: one click copies a "This call is being recorded" notice, ready to paste into your Zoom or Meet chat, so you stay compliant without interrupting the meeting.

Stop taking notes. Start shipping them.

Install the app, press record, and your next meeting writes its own follow-ups — no bot to admit, nothing to configure.
